We use industry-recognized best practices to continuously validate and demonstrate the sound reliability of our psychometrics.
3-STEP MODEL
Our comprehensive approach
We undertake comprehensive and detailed statistical analysis during the development and deployment of our assessments to ensure that they are of the highest statistical and measurement standards.
Assessment data is collected to enable standardization with the curation of a ‘norming’ sample group. The sample group is evenly distributed and matched to census data and educational attainment to create 'mean' and 'standard deviations' for the scores, scales, and subscales.
We use the industry-standard internal consistency and test-retest methods to validate the reliability and stability of our assessments. This type of reliability is calculated by examining the correlation between scores on the same assessment over time.
We use both criterion-related validity and convergent validity statistical methods to ensure that our tests and solutions are scientifically valid.
5-FACTOR MODEL
The Big 5 Personality Traits
Our psychometrics are grounded in established science and research, including the Big 5 "OCEAN" Personality Traits.
Today, many researchers believe that there are five core personality traits; openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Evidence of this theory has been growing for many years, beginning with the research of D. W. Fiske (1949) and later expanded upon by other researchers including Norman (1967), Smith (1967), Goldberg (1981), and McCrae & Costa (1987).
